Charnwood Springs Day

After the disappointment of the activity day being cancelled in the summer due to the very heavy rain and amount of mud, the rearranged day finally came around. Along with other groups from around Leicestershire, Rainbows, Beavers and Brownies had the opportunity to try their hand at a range of activities including go-karts, archery and going on inflatable slides.

How did the day go?

We started out from Thurnby on a double decker bus which took us directly to Topstones Campsite where all the activities were taking place. Once we were there and registered the day was ours to go round the various activities on the field.

Some of the activities we could have a go at were...

- slip down the inflatable slides

- create a kite

- go over the Centenary Scramble course

- shoot a bow on the archery field

- make our own blended mocktail

- climb on the bouldering wall

- drive a go-kart

- make a balloon model

At the end of the day was a show by scientists to show us some fun science we can do at home. Finally we were given our goody bags which included a cool new badge. We can't wait until the next time :)
