Who are we?

We are based in Thurnby, Leicestershire and are part of both Girlguiding and the Scout Associaton. We are a thriving group with currently about 150 children meeting regularly in the different sections. We cater for both girls and boys between 5 and 25 in a range of activities and opportunities.

We have a variety of groups and activities to take part in. Catering for young people from age 5-18, there is something for everyone!

Not just for young people

There are also numerous ways you can help out as an adult. From volunteering at weekly meetings, to helping out with finances and being part of our Executive Committee there is a role to suit your availability.

Who are Girlguiding?

Girlguiding is the leading charity for girls and young women in the UK. Thanks to the dedication and support of 100,000 amazing volunteers, we are active in every part of the UK, giving girls and young women a space where they can be themselves, have fun, build brilliant friendships, gain valuable life skills and make a positive difference to their lives and their communities. We build girls’ confidence and raise their aspirations. We give them the chance to discover their full potential and encourage them to be a powerful force for good.

Who are Scouts?

Scouting provides fun, challenge and adventure to
over 400,000 girls and boys across the UK. Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. While being part of Scouting, young people and volunteers alike can gain skills for life, have adventures and help others. Through this they can build better futures for all, bring communities together and have activities for everyone.
