On Saturday 6th December we will be holding our Christmas Craft workshop. Please drop in any time between 1.30 and 4.30pm and get stuck in. There are a variety of crafts to make and you can take them all home with you! £3.50 per person and £10 for a family. Refreshments will be on sale and there will be a number of Christmas goodies and a tombola to tempt you.

Thanks to all who came and braved the cold wind on Sunday. The poppy the children made was fantastic. We had a good turnout from the Beavers and the Brownies - hopefull more of you will come next time.

We will be taking part in the Remembrance Service at St Luke's Church on Sunday. There will be a practice for the colour parties on Friday night.

Thank you to everyone who braved the rain and joined us at the Bonfire and Fireworks on Saturday. The fireworks were spectacular and we hope you didn't get too wet.

Our annual Bonfire and Fireworks display will take place on Saturday 1st November. Gates will open at 6.30 and the bonfire will be lit at 7pm. Fireworks will begin at 7.10pm. We will be serving burgers, hot dogs and drinks. We hope to see you there.

The time has come round again where we are looking for new small games and toys to put on our children's tombola stall at the Thurnby and Bushby Village Fete on Saturday 6th September. Please leave donations with your leader.

Thank you to eveyone who came. Unfortunately the rain meant that our bbq was inside and we played tabletop games. However we had a good time and are hoping for better weather next year!

We have our annual Scout and Guide service at St Luke's Church next Sunday 6th July. We will presenting our vicar Jon with the Chaplaincy of the Scout and Guide Group. After the parade service at 10.30 we will be holding a barbeque and games at the Scout and Guide HQ. Everyone is welcome to join us.

The camping season has begun. Both the Brownies and the Scouts are off to camp over half-term. The Brownies will be going to Blast Off! and learning about things in space while the Scouts are going to travel back in time to the Medieval era. We hope the weather holds out for you!

Happy Birthday Rainbows! Rainbows have been going nationally for 21 years, 17 here in Thurnby.

The Rainbows celebrate their 21st birthday this year and we are holding a party for all the girls in the local area. There are activities, games, party food and lots of fun planned for Sunday 28th.

We are still fundraising to help two of our Guides take part in international trips abroad to Austria and Poland. They are holding a fun-filled afternoon on Saturday with stalls and games. We hope to see you there.

We are holding a Gang show to raise money for the Guides going abroad on Guiding trips this summer. We have searched high and low for the best talents and have a variety of different acts. There will be 2 performances 3pm and 6pm. Tickets are £1. Come and support the girls!
